Parliament committee: Evidence shows US, Israeli role in recent riots

Tehran - BORNA - Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, briefed reporters after the committee’s session, saying members reviewed updated reports on nationwide security conditions.

According to the information presented, he said, security was stable across most regions and no major new challenges had been identified.

Rezaei said that the committee’s findings “so far show that foreign interference, specifically by the Americans and the Zionists, in the recent incidents is evident,” adding that both “overt and covert documents” were cited in the briefing.

He also said that based on the data reviewed, “the vast majority of those who lost their lives in the recent events were killed by foreign-backed elements acting under their direction.”
